Give the Gift of Reading!

The Holiday season is upon us. Shopping is in the air. And every parent is searching for the perfect gift to give your children.

Why not give them something more valuable than the latest electronic gadget? Why not give them the gift of reading?

OwlCrate monthly young adult book subscription

I recently discovered the best idea that I am giving my children this year. (Shh. Don't tell them.)

I learned about a company called OwlCrate that delivers subscription Young Adult novels by mail each month. Each box contains one highly anticipated, hard-cover, young adult novel for you and your children to enjoy. Often times they are in a unique, collector's edition cover as well.

Every month is a new theme, such as Wonderland, Epic, or Once Upon A Dream, matching the book selected. In addition to the book, the box contains a collection of goodies to go along with the theme. These include things like jewelry, candles, collectable action figures, tea, tins, buttons, bookmarks, and more.

The best part is that every month is a new theme and new surprise. Your children will eagerly anticipate each month and shout out with glee as they discover their new present every month.

They are also currently offering a one-time purchase of OwlCrate Jr., which contains a middle-grade book for younger children. While it is not yet a subscription yet, they are hoping to launch it as one in the future. Stay tuned for the announcement.
