Have a child interested in getting in on the Bridge Run race action? Just like the main event, the Cooper River Bridge Run’s Kids Run has a track record for handing out excellent swag and being a festive, family-friendly affair. The merriment kicks off in Hampton Park at 11 a.m. with WonderFest, a free carnival-style celebration including jump castles, a mechanical bull, music and magic performances, a climbing wall, pony rides, crafts, toy demos, refreshments, giveaways and more. At 5 p.m., a trio of races around the green space encourages mini marathoners to step up — choose from the Toddler Waddler for little ones under 3, and quarter- and one-milers for the bigger kids up to age 13.
And true to the original, the Kids Run goes the extra mile for the community, benefiting local nonprofits Hugs for Harper, Keys for Hope, Abbey’s Friends and Happy Wheels.
Don't miss the always entertaining Harlem Globetrotters! Fun for all ages.View Complete Calendar
