Jump into spring with these delicious treats.  You really can't go wrong with cupcakes at any time of the year.  But why not celebrate spring with bright, pastel frosting and colorful butterflies.  It's a sure sign that spring is here!

With a few simple additions turn a plain frosted cupcake into a delightful butterfly.  Happy spring everyone!

Supplies Needed:

Box of Cake Mix

Can of Frosting

Food Coloring

Yogurt covered pretzels

M&Ms

Licorice Rope

 

What to do:

Step 1.  Simply follow the instructions on a box of cake mix to bake cupcakes.  Add a few drops of food coloring to a can of vanilla frosting to make a bright spring pastel frosting.

Step 2.  Pipe the cupcakes with your frosting.  Cool the frosted cupcake in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to let the frosting set.

Step 3.  Add your decorations to create the butterfly.  Use licorice rope for the antennae, pastel colored M&Ms for the body and yogurt covered pretzels for the wings.
