Delzer, this tale follows the story of fourteen year old Thomas DeLeuit growing up in a small harbor town in a fantasy world.

February is Black History month. It is a time to reflect, recognize, and celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans to history. This is of paramount importance for everyone in society as the history books often fail to identify the many important advances to science, technology, and culture by African Americans.

Reading wonderful children’s books written by black authors or about black characters is the perfect way to commemorate the month. And I can think of no better way to honor its intensions that to branch out and read some excellent books published by independent authors.
