Rebecca's Reviews: Martha and Marley Spoon

Martha & Marley Spoon is one of the newest meal delivery programs that I have seen. If you are looking to skip the grocery store, but still have a fresh, home cooked meal Martha & Marley Spoon is the way to go!

box

Like many other meal services out there, Martha & Marley Spoon let you browse the recipes week by week and choose what fits your family the best.  You are able to choose from a two person box or family box.  In each box you are given fresh ingredients and easy to read recipe cards.  As we have four people in our family we chose a family box.

The first meal we cooked was the Orecchiette and Sausage.  It came out amazing! The meal was easy to prepare and also came with a small Arugula salad that my husband and I both loved!  They added a little twist to the meal by adding butternut squash to it.  I was a little hesitant at first, but I have to tell you, it came out amazing!  I will be keeping this recipe card for sure!  The meal took about 20 minutes to prepare.

The second meal we made was Creamy Risotto.  It came with fresh asparagus and peas and was so creamy from all of the Fontina cheese!  That meal also came with a small side spinach salad.  The spinach was so fresh.  This meal took a little longer as you had to cut quite a few vegetables and then I also had to stay close to the risotto as I had to keep adding broth and stirring it.  All in, it took about 40 minutes to prepare this meal.  I ended up cutting the vegetables that morning and then cooking it later that day.

food

One thing I have to say about Martha & Marley Spoon is the proportions were on the larger side.  Usually with these services you only get 1 portion for each person.  With both of these meals we were able to eat it for two nights which is a bonus for me!  I don’t love cooking, so not having to cook two nights in a row was key to me.  All in all, I have to say I LOVE this service.  The service was exceptional and the food was even better!  If you are looking to try a meal service check out Martha & Marley Spoon by clicking here.

For a limited time the Martha & Marley Spoon family menu will double, featuring ten recipes to choose from each week that will include our best selling family favorites, and dishes that will introduce kids to new flavor sensations and tasty ingredients for fussy eaters. As always, each family meal will feed two adults and two children, but with the added flexibility of adding portions.

I received this product at no cost to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed herein are my own. I am in no way affiliated with Martha and Marley Spoon and did not earn a commission or percent of sales.
