STEP RIGHT UP! September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and on September 23rd Camp Happy Days will be hosting a fun-filled carnival themed event to bring awareness to the Charleston area. We will have arts & crafts, a jump castle, fair food, carnival games and educational resources available. This event is free to the public and we hope you will join us for all the fun!

#KidsJump is reserved just for the little ones, they can jump with kids their own age without the rustle and bustle of a bunch of other kids in the way.

Zoos are great learning environments for young minds. Bring your toddler to the Animal Forest at Charles Towne Landing for "Toddler Time" and watch their eyes light up when they see the animals! We'll read a story, talk about animals, and then take a walk to a habitat to actually see what we talked about.
Please allow at least 15 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the Animal Forest outdoor classroom.
Reading is "hogs" of fun, especially with Madame Mazell, the Animal Forest's resident hog! Children are invited to come out to Charles Towne Landing and practice their reading skills in a fun atmosphere! This program is free, but registration is required.
Call (843) 573-8517 to register your child for this unique literacy experience.
The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market is where our community meets to share in a vibrant array of locally grown and SC Certified produce. Stroll through the market to find a bounty of just-picked vegetables, fruits, and fragrant flowers along with local seafood, fresh-cooked meals, baked and canned goods, and locally produced snacks.

Toddler Time is a great shared experience for child and parent. A time for your little ones to discover the joy of being active, bouncing under the supervision of their parents, and without interference from the big kids.
The WAFM is dedicated to the support and advocacy of local farmers and growers and features fresh seasonal produce, as well as sweet and savory foods from area vendors who source ingredients from nearby farms. A curated program of live entertainment and family-friendly activities will enhance the farmers’ market experience.
Ackerman Park is a popular and easily accessible City-owned park that is also adjacent to an underutilized commercial strip center on St. Andrews Boulevard. The WAFM has the potential to be a catalyst in the revitalization of the area – similar to how the downtown CFM was instrumental in the revitalization of Marion Square.
This is a West Ashley Community event! Everyone is invited!!
Charleston Youth Club was formed in response to the lack of available positive activities and mentoring for West Ashley teens.
Come out and show your support! Mingle with the founders and fellow supporters and learn more about what we are doing and how YOU can help!
Andolini’s will be donating a percentage of the night to Charleston Youth Club. Direct donations will also be accepted!
Weather permitting, Lowcountry Stargazers will host "Astronomy in the Park" at Brittlebank Park, most Wednesdays from sunset until 9pm (10pm DST), weather permitting. Stop by after work or before dinner and see what the universe has to offer. Our members will have a telescope or two set up, and will be available to answer your questions about the night sky.
We will set up at the north end of the park opposite the Marriott Hotel, and for those attending, we ask that you park in designated parking spaces, and not on the grass.

Birds abound at Charles Towne Landing! With a mix of habitats, a wide variety of birds can be seen and heard at the park. From tiny marsh sparrows to grand wood storks, taking a walk around the site can reward the birding enthusiast with great sightings. Please join our birding partners of Wild Birds Unlimited as their staff introduce participants to the feathered inhabitants of Charles Towne Landing. Our walk will begin at the feeders in front of the Visitor Center as we focus on birds’ basic needs: food, water and shelter. As we walk, we will listen to and begin to identify bird calls. Next, we will talk about the distinguishing features which help us identify specific birds. Finally, we will present a brief overview of field guides and binoculars popular with birders.
