Beginning July 1st, the Exchange Club of Daniel Island will proudly host their 3nd annual Field of Honor® display of U.S. flags. The Stars and Stripes will stand posted in a memorable display of red, white and blue on the grassy lawn of River Landing Drive. 500 full sized flags will fly on seven and a half foot flagpoles to honor your heroes including military, veterans, first responders, teachers and home town heroes.

Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. revisit a different blockbuster hit that everyone can enjoy. This event is budget friendly with kids under 10 snagging a seat for free, and everyone else heading in for just $4. The series runs through Aug. 8, so you have plenty of chances for a hump day treat with movies like The Sandlot, E.T., Babe, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

West Ashley Farmers Market

The WAFM is dedicated to the support and advocacy of local farmers and growers and features fresh seasonal produce, as well as sweet and savory foods from area vendors who source ingredients from nearby farms. A curated program of live entertainment and family-friendly activities will enhance the farmers’ market experience.

Ackerman Park is a popular and easily accessible City-owned park that is also adjacent to an underutilized commercial strip center on St. Andrews Boulevard. The WAFM has the potential to be a catalyst in the revitalization of the area – similar to how the downtown CFM was instrumental in the revitalization of Marion Square.
