Christmas Day Crossing Reenactment

Washington Crossing Historic Park

George Washington’s daring 1776 Christmas Day crossing of the Delaware River and defeat of the Hessians in Trenton is considered a turning point in the Revolutionary War. Join fellow citizens from around the country on Sunday, December 10, for a Bucks County tradition featuring several hundred reenactors clad in Continental military dress and George Washington himself. Listen as General Washington delivers an inspiring speech and then leads his troops across the river in replica Durham boats. Crossing is at 1 PM (we recommend arriving much earlier for a good view)

Learn to be a Babysitter

This popular program helps young adults learn basic age-by-age childcare skills, safety and dealing with emergencies, managing babysitting as a business, first aid and AHA Friends and Family CPR. The day is filled with fun exercises, demonstrations and manikin practice. Students will receive a program guide, emergency information flash cards and business start-up forms. Upon completion, students will also receive a course participation certificate and AHA Friends and Family CPR participant card.

Students must pre-register. Classes fill quickly. Fee is $80 and you must call to register. Most classes are held at the CPR Training Center unless otherwise noted. Call 908-788-6614 to register.
