A social interactive time with literacy resources and activities for you and your child. This week: Samantha Nunzio, RD from ShopRite.
Samantha Nunzio is a Registrered Dietician who works for the ShopRite of Hillsborough. Join her as she educates with stories, activities such as "eating the alphabet" while addressing healthy eating habits and how to apply good habits to our busy lifestyles.
Join in a LEGO Minifigure Swap Monday on April 16!
Bring one of your own Minifigures, or visit the Build a Minifigure station to create and buy new ones! You can also meet other fans and switch up your collection.
Brand new at Chirp---a weekly storytime & craft series!
This session will run every Monday in April from 11am to about noon. (March 5, 12, 19 and 26th)
Moms & Dads and children of all ages are welcome to attend, although very little ones may need help with their crafting!
The entire series costs $50---$10 per session!
At this time, we are asking for the entire series to be booked.
We will read a story each session and follow it up with a related craft
(an example is reading "Are You My Mother?" and painting and decorating birdhouses!) Be sure the little ones wear clothes they can get messy in (just in case!)

X barks the spot in the new tour PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure! It’s Pirate Day in Adventure Bay, and Mayor Goodway is getting ready for a big celebration! But first, Ryder and his team of pirate pups must rescue Cap’n Turbot from a mysterious cavern. When they do, they also discover a secret pirate treasure map! The PAW Patrol set out over land and sea to find the treasure for Mayor Goodway’s celebration before Mayor Humdinger finds it first! The pups will need all paws on deck for this pirate adventure, including some help from the newest pup … Tracker!

An evening where the YMCA provides a safe and fun environment for children while you enjoy an evening out. The event will include a ‘paint night’ craft, pizza, gym games, snack and movie. NERF Tag and dodgeball activities will also be available for older participants. Children are welcome to come in PJs. For children ages 4-12 years.

On April 21, Somerset County YMCA and Hunterdon County YMCA will celebrate Healthy Kids Day, the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being for kids and families. Healthy Kids Day is a great way to get kids excited about healthy activities they can take home and do together as a family. This fun-filled morning will feature activities such as baseball-themed games, recipe ideas, arts and crafts, obstacle course, track and field, giveaways, safety information, STEM experiments, performances and opportunities to meet Somerset Patriot players and mascots.

The carnival will have games, activities, prizes, face painting, a petting zoo, magic shows, and more. Admission is $12/participant which includes unlimited games and activities. Adults are free. Food - including hot dogs, walking tacos, cotton candy, popcorn, and bubble tea- will be available for purchase. Proceeds will support the Somerset County 4-H Youth Development Program.

Celebrate the one, the only, Planet Earth! This year, the event will feature an afternoon/evening festival celebrating New Jersey native wildlife.
At 3:00 p.m., enjoy an “April pole” song and dance to thank the Earth for what it has provided.
At 5:00 p.m, learn about wildlife movement and habitat connectivity at a film screening. Local producer Jared Flesher will show two episodes of The Creature Show, focused on the state of bobcats and salamanders in New Jersey, and he will then lead a discussion on habitat connectivity.
