Huntington Beach State Park is considered by many to be the best birding spot in South Carolina. Come see why for yourself! Local birders, Phil and Sharon Turner, will lead a walk along the causeway to search the freshwater pond and salt marsh for a variety of birds. Depending on the season, we might observe herons, egrets, rails, woodstorks, shorebirds, ducks, bald eagles and more! Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them. Meet at the Causeway parking lot.

A wide variety of artists from across the country with fine visual art on display. The event will also have musical entertainment, demonstrations by exhibitors, and an opportunity to sample seafood delicacies. The three-day festival takes place in the unique setting of Atalaya, a Moorish-style “castle” built in the Great Depression as a winter home and sculpture studio by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington.
Family Dance Party consists of a story, movement, and music. The party is especially for babies through pre-school age children, but all families are welcome. Come and dance with us and have some fun.

Neon Jump Night is Rockin’ Jump’s exclusive after-dark jump experience from 8:00PM to 10:00PM. Our price per jumper is $20.00 for 2 hours. We feature strobes and black-lights along with all the top hits to make your night memorable. Wear white or neon colored outfits to really stand out! Whether you are dancing, jumping, or just enjoying a night out with friends, Neon Jump Night is sure to light up your night!
Get outside and create the memory of a lifetime fishing with your favorite kid! Awards will be presented in various "fishy" categories. The registration form is on the Programs and Events page and can be printed and mailed to the Nature Center or contact mbeachnature@scprt.com for a digital registration form. Dress for the weather. Bring snacks, fishing pole and tackle, if available. If not, complimentary pole and tackle is available if requested ahead of time for each child. This is a non smoking event.

Join North Myrtle Beach for the 15th annual Irish Italian Festival. The fun kicks off with a family-friendly festival and brings in live music on two different stages along Main Street plus dozens of food vendors, arts and crafts tents and a spaghetti-eating competition. Area restaurants will also compete for the Best Entree, Best Decorated and Best Dessert. The festival includes a children’s area with inflatables, magicians and balloon art. Stop by Flynn’s Paddy Wagon for an Irish pint before exploring the vendors’ tents. Admission is free.
