New Hope’s 24th Annual Outdoor Juried Arts and Crafts Festival will take place from 10-6pm on Saturday and from 10-5pm on Sunday at the New Hope – Solebury High School. Located in the historic river town of New Hope PA, known for its arts community, this event should attract 15,000 visitors. Over 160 fine artists and craftsmen will exhibit using media such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, works in wood, wearable art, glass art, photography, and more. This is an outdoor, rain or shine event with $1 admission, children’s art activities, festival food, music, a complimentary shuttle to/from downtown and paid onsite parking. New Hope’s business district is just a few minutes’ walk away. This is a quality, juried event and our artists will be recognized with ribbons and cash prizes.
Come to Terhune Orchards for a day of family fun on the farm! What better way to celebrate fall than with Pick-Your-Own apples and pumpkins! Enjoy pony ridese, pedal tractors, wagon rides, visit the Corn Stalk Maze, Adventure Barn and our barnyard of farm animals. Children can paint their own pumpkin to bring home.

Whether you are experienced with drawing and painting or just starting out, here’s the perfect class to explore traditional wet and dry materials including pencil, charcoal, pastels, watercolor and acrylic paints. Learn all kinds of techniques to hone your abilities with color, shading, composition and perspective while working with still life, from photos, and outdoors (weather permitting).
The Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton will be offering yoga for children age 3-10. The class will run on Mondays starting September 11th from 6:00 p.m. – 6:55 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton. This session will run for three weeks.
Yoga encourages strength and maintains flexibility of the body and mind. Breathing, stretching and holding various yoga poses assist children in their ability to concentrate and hold focus which leads to greater self-control and self-esteem.
The rate for the three week session for members is $30 per child and $40 per child for non-members of the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers. Join us at the Flemington Free Public Library each Tuesday for storytime. The children and their parents or caregivers are entertained by picture books, poetry, scissor stories, or drawn stories. A craft related to the weekly theme completes the session, which generally runs a little longer than a half hour.

Infant massage is fun and easy!!! Come join us, along with your under 1 year old baby, to learn the ancient art of infant massage. Infant massage has many benefits for both parent and child, and can be begun as soon as possible in the weeks following birth. Classes are held at the HMC Education Center, just north of HMC on Rt. 31.
Infant massage helps babies to
• have better, longer, more restful sleep
• be able to calm themselves earlier and more easily
• improve oxygen and nutrient flow to cells
• improve sensory awareness
• improve digestion, relieving discomfort from gas
Parents will benefit from learning to ‘read’ their baby’s behavior, which leads to better communication with their baby.
Infant massage is offered as a series of 3 classes, one hour each. 1-2 pm. The cost for a series is $90.

The Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management, Hunterdon Pediatric Associates and the DeerPath YMCA are offering, “Weigh to Go,” a 4-week weight management program for kids ages 7 to 14. Weigh to Go will be held Wednesdays beginning September 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The program is free and includes a free 2-month membership to the YMCA. The program is being offered free for September because of the support of the Hunterdon & Mercer County Regional Chronic Disease Coalition.
Weigh to Go will promote changes in food habits, exercise and self-esteem. Weigh to Go is a non-diet approach to weight loss with emphasis on making changes now that can be sustained long term. In addition, a qualified member of the YMCA staff will provide supervision and guidance throughout the strength training and cardio-vascular components of the program.

For children 1-3 years. Toddlersteps is a parent support group that meets regularly to discuss issues of importance to parents of toddlers. It’s a great place to meet other parents, too! You are welcome to bring your infant to Toddlersteps as well. No registration required and class is FREE! Classes are in Classroom #1 in the HMC Education Center on Rt. 31.

A night for Minecraft players to play together in a large group (up to 12 at once) where they can all tackle goals and objectives together, while talking to each other in real life. We outline the night’s objectives at the beginning of the session and we’re there to help when needed. But it’s just a night of fun! As always this is a drop off event. Feel free to head out on Main Street for dinner while your kids enjoy a night of Minecraft & pizza!!
