Becky’s Box of Puppets brings the most lovable bunch of teddy bears to life in this playful puppet show for preschoolers. The charming bears dance, play music, juggle, and even get into a spot of mischief. Teddy Time is a real celebration of the love that we have for these cuddly friends. Becky Becker and her box of puppets have been entertaining audiences across the South for more than 35 years. A favorite of festivals, corporate events, conferences, school residencies, teacher workshops, and summer reading programs, thousands of young people – and the young at heart – are exposed to the magic of puppetry arts every year through her talent.
Welcome the beautiful spring season with a celebration at historic Alhambra Hall Park. Get your face painted, jump in our giant castles, ride a pony and so much more.
The WAFM is dedicated to the support and advocacy of local farmers and growers and features fresh seasonal produce, as well as sweet and savory foods from area vendors who source ingredients from nearby farms. A curated program of live entertainment and family-friendly activities will enhance the farmers’ market experience.
Ackerman Park is a popular and easily accessible City-owned park that is also adjacent to an underutilized commercial strip center on St. Andrews Boulevard. The WAFM has the potential to be a catalyst in the revitalization of the area – similar to how the downtown CFM was instrumental in the revitalization of Marion Square.
Come indoor bird spotting with us! Study the Pelagornis Sandersi, the Cassowary, the Moa, and the Andean Condor in our new Bunting Natural History Gallery. Kid Tours meet the first Wednesday of every month at 3:30 pm and include a craft project or activity.
