Being a 9-12 year old isn't easy! They are not little kids anymore, and not yet teens! Life can be confusing and really stressful during this stage of life. Their rapidly changing bodies and brains paired with constant digital stimulation, learning, school, and homework, the intricacies of friendships and “frenemies”, their developing self-concept, hobbies, family, body image, importance of fitting in somewhere, having time for fun... Trying to balance it all can be really difficult! Introducing and exposing your child to the concept of self-care and taking time to explore themselves via mindfulness practices and art can literally change their brain, making it more likely they will continue to use them throughout life. During this 6 week series, we will practice yoga poses, meditate, learn relaxation techniques, play team-building games and activities, and make art! Self-discovery and self-care is what it's all about!
For Students in Gardes 6 and up.
