In an effort to stop childhood drowning, The Hunterdon County YMCA is offering 2nd graders who are at the beginner level (total non-swimmer and doggie paddlers) one free session of swim lessons per school year. We ran the first session in Fall 2016. The next session (remember they can only take one), will be held during our spring I Session. The classes will be offered every afternoon Monday thru Thursday at 4 pm. Saturday at 8 am and 12 noon and Sunday at 9 am. Students may enroll on line now. The classes run from Feburary 27 through April 15.
Students register for one class (ie., Monday at 4) and attend once a week for 7 weeks. The classes are 45 minutes in length and cover water safety, basic swimming and survival skills. Children will be evaluated and given a progress report at the end of the session.
Our Saturday program has three general stations that offer different activities each week. Arts/crafts, sports and gross motor, Community Service and life skills. We often incorporate karate, yoga and music as well!
While your kids are enjoying super Saturday, make some friends! We will give you different ideas/ project each week, that you may chose to do or not to do.
The Ballet Princess program is especially designed for 3-5 year olds. This class is educational, fun and age appropriate.
Join us for Indoor wintertime play center hosted by: Flemington United Methodist Church & The Hunterdon County Council for Youth Children. Every Saturday from January 14th - March 18th from 10am to 12pm!
They make, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.
The projects in this JEWELRY class will focus on making jewelry, jewelry storage, and displays.
Students will work to create their own and more.
Drop-in to the Youth Services area between 10:30 am and noon to create a themed craft (while supplies last).
Each 45 minute class provides interaction and musical play between caregivers and children, in a fun-filled, non-performance environment. We'll sing, dance, and play with various child-safe rhythm instruments. Live instrument (guitar, ukulele or keyboard) are played by instructor in every class. Fall, winter and spring semesters are 10 weeks; summer is 6 weeks.
We are dedicated to helping every child succeed socially with peers. We welcome kids of all ages and abilities. We will group kids with children they can be successful with but ask that you sign up ahead of time and commit to a group of sessions.

Join us weekly for Paw's to Read at Tabby's Place in Ringoes, NJ. Hosted by a 2nd grade teacher and open to ages 6-10.
Every Saturday this Winter, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader, Melissa Ferrao, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development. The program progresses to meet each child’s need season after season.
Welcoming kids ages 1 - 10. Activities will include TumblTrak jumping, running, tumbling, and games. A great party for everyone in the family to enjoy. An hour of gym fun complete with themed cake, balloons, and face-painting. Be ready for tons of photo opps and exciting moments.
