It's a great way to get out of the house and get your energy out on cold rainy days. $10 cash ($11 credit) for as long as we are open. Family-friendly activities are offered on the first Sunday of every month, including the museum's popular scavenger hunt. Visit the Studio Z learning center throughout the day for self-guided learning and creativity. 

Studio Z is an education space with activities for younger visitors. The studio's computer terminal includes the Junior Curator program, which allows anyone to become a curator and organize Zimmerli artworks.The space also features a selection of works created by Summer Art Camp participants, as well as works by students from the New Brunswick public school system.

Each class will explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques that build social, sensory, and motor skills while increasing flexibility. This playful series conveys lessons in self-expression, social skills, and positive thinking. Cooperative yoga games at the end of each class are sure to inspire positive peer interactions that children can carry into their everyday lives.

New Jersey’s Native Americans held deeply personal relationships with the world around them, closely aligned with the local landscape and available materials.   Montgomery continues to carry their legacy through roadways and Indian names of places, rivers, etc.   On this walk, Jim Wade will describe the way of life of local Native American Indians, point out locations where they would have looked to settle, and materials they would have used for food, clothing, and shelter.

meet in front of the 1860 House.  Parking is across the street from Stonebridge at Montgomery’s entranceway. Wear appropriate footwear.
